Knowledge packs and answer cards
Give Telmi your own facts and exact answers, so suggestions sound like you and get the details right.
Out of the box, Telmi answers from general knowledge. It never makes up facts about you or your company: those come only from your packs. Add a pack and suggestions start using your product, your pricing, and your words.
Packs
Open Knowledge and prompts from the sidebar. Make one pack per kind of call, like Sales, Hiring, or Investors. Each pack has:
- Instructions. Who you talk to, what you want from the call, and how you sound. For example: "I run discovery calls with lenders. Keep answers casual and short. Never quote a price; offer a follow-up." Sent with every suggestion.
- Vocabulary. Names and jargon, so the transcript spells them right.
- Files. Write them in Telmi, or drop in PDFs, Word documents, or text files. Product notes, pricing, objection handling, your bio.
- Answer cards. Your exact answers to questions that keep coming up. See below.
Everything is plain files in ~/Telmi, so you can also edit packs in any text editor.
Answer cards
An answer card is a question, a few other ways people ask it, and the words you want to say. When someone asks a matching question, Telmi shows your card at once. Matching happens on your Mac, with no request to the AI, so it's instant.
Matching looks at the meaning words in the question, and folds common topics together, so "how much is it", "what does it cost", and "what's the pricing" all count as the same question.
- Click Add card to write one.
- Click Build from pack and calls to have Telmi draft cards from your files and the questions people asked on past calls. Building keeps your existing cards and adds new ones.
- Review every answer before a call. A card says exactly what you wrote, so make it right.
Personas, actions, and call briefs
- Personas set who Telmi speaks as: Sales, Discovery, Interview candidate, and others.
- Actions are the buttons in the panel: Answer, Smart questions, Objection, Explain simply, Catch me up, Fact check, Next steps. Edit them or add your own.
- Call briefs are ready-made answers to "what's this call about", each with a persona, a pack, and a notes template (Sales discovery, Job interview, 1:1, User research, Investor).
Tips
- Short, specific files beat long ones. Write facts the way you'd say them.
- Put the things you must never say in Instructions, like prices you don't quote on a first call.
- After a few calls, run Build from pack and calls again to catch new recurring questions.
