Getting started

Download Telmi, sign in through your browser, and take your first call. About five minutes.

Telmi runs on your Mac and listens to your calls from your computer, not from inside the call. No bot joins. You need macOS 26 or later. A Windows version is on the way.

1. Download and install

  • Go to the download page and get the Mac app.
  • Open the download and drag Telmi into Applications.
  • Open Telmi. It lives in the Dock and the menu bar, and opens at login.

2. Sign in

Telmi signs you in through your browser, so the app never sees a password. Click Sign in, and your browser opens usetelmi.com. Sign in with Google or your email. The browser hands you back to Telmi, which keeps you signed in from then on.

If your browser blocks the hand-off, the page shows a token with a Copy button. Paste it into Telmi and you're in.

3. Allow the microphone and system audio

Home shows a short setup checklist. When you first start listening, macOS asks for the microphone (your side of the call) and system audio recording (their side). Allow both. See Permissions for what each one does.

4. Take a call

Join a call in Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Slack, FaceTime, or any other app. When the call app starts using your mic, Telmi starts listening by itself and opens its side panel. You can also start and stop by hand with ⌘⇧L.

  • Tell it what the call is for. Type a line at the top of the panel, or pick a saved brief such as First sales call or Job interview. Every suggestion uses it.
  • Read the SAY card. When they ask something worth answering, the words to say appear, often before they finish asking. Tap Shorter, Expand, Simpler, More confident, or Rephrase to adjust it.
  • Jot notes. Anything you type in My notes is treated as the most important signal when the notes are written.

When the call ends, Telmi writes your summary, action items, a follow-up email, and coaching. The call shows up on Home.

Free calls and Pro

You get 5 free calls. A call counts once it has run 60 seconds, so a quick test or a false start doesn't use one up. After that, Pro is $20 a month for unlimited calls. See pricing.

Out of free calls, you can still open Telmi, read and chat about past calls, and prepare for meetings. Only starting a new recording is blocked.
